Taka Takk’ is a method of preparing the masala for various dishes.
The origin of the name is simple – ‘Taka Takk’ is the sound of the spatula on the over sized tava.

The spatula is used vertically on the tava in a chopping motion, breaking down the ingredients and turning the masala over while it slow cooks.

The Taka Takk dishes are a range of authentic, and truly original, colorful and aromatic dishes from the heart of Lahore.

Traditionally Taka Takk is the equivalent of fast food but Taka Takk is prepared freshly in front of you, to your order.

Within the restaurant, we have seven specially trained chefs from the sub-continent, creating authentic dishes. With many years of experience, Liaqat our Taka Takk chef, will create a dish specially for you while you watch.

For many years we have provided an outside catering service for weddings, parties, corporate and charity events.

Expansion of business, meant that we hade to install purpose made kitchens, cold storage. and have brought in seven specially trained chefs from the sub-continent.
With their wealth of knowledge of differing cuisines and our attention to detail, we are sure to be able to cater for your every taste on varying budgets.

India is a country of many parts, and each region has its own specialties. Basically, various regional recipes are different forms of rice puddings, milk puddings, vegetables & fruits dipped in sweet syrup.

Besides, there are a variety of milk-based barfis and pastries. These are decorated with raisins, almonds, pistachio, cashew and such. Various combinations of all the above delicacies offer many of the varieties of traditional Indian sweets to choose from.

We have a small selection of the more popular mithai in the restaurant, but our chef's are are trained to produce a wide variety for all occasions. For larger orders please give ample notice so that we can prepare freshly for you.
